The Grand-Jury Transcripts
The government took this case to the grand jury three times, on October 9, 16, and 23, 2025. The court unsealed the transcripts of those sessions on June 9, 2026, in redacted form. They are the record of how the indictment was obtained after the grand jury first declined to return one. The full sessions are below; the lines quoted on the case page come from here.
These are the court's own redacted versions. Grand jurors are anonymous and named witnesses are redacted; we do not reconstruct anything the court kept sealed, including the October 9 witness testimony. Cite by transcript page and line (the internal pagination), not the PDF page number.
Session 1 · October 9, 2025
The first presentation
The first session before the grand jury. The witness testimony from this date remains under seal by court order, and the published transcript is redacted accordingly. What is on the record is the prosecutor's framing of the proceeding to the jurors.

Session 2 · October 16, 2025
The return, one week after the jury declined to indict
A week earlier the grand jury had not returned an indictment. The government came back to the same body. On the record, a grand juror said what they thought of the case:
“I heard this case like last week and I thought it was a crock of shit then and I still think it is.”Grand juror · Tr. 10:11–13

Session 3 · October 23, 2025
The re-presentation that produced the indictment
The third session returned the indictment. On the record, AUSA Mecklenburg acknowledged having had contact with two jurors outside the grand jury room:
“I'm the one who knows the rules, and I did something today that I'm not supposed to do.” AUSA Mecklenburg · Tr. 3:20–25
